What was the question here?

Seeing a band live can change whether you like the band or not as it can alter the way in which you listen to their music. The visuals and personalities of the musicians in the band can bring give you a different understanding of their music, which might lead to you liking it a lot more.

Or, to put it another way (not quite along the same track), as somebody once said to me "You don't like Drum'n'Bass or Techno? The thing is, it doesn't make sense until you've taken lots of E's and gone to a dance club. Do that, then you'll love Drum'n'Bass and Techno!".

I never did and I still hate drum'n'bass and techno, so maybe he had a point...
