death cab for cutie isn't really emo, but most stuff by them is rly very sad and good. there's sp many tho, i hate it wen i can't think of any on the spot.

Please tell me when you say Dashboard it's not Dashboard Confessional you're talking about because they aren't emotional post-hardcore.

No, I'm sorry. It's emotional hardcore. Post-hardcore is completely seperate. Now given, some post-hardcore bands have taken emo influence (As Cities Burn for example), but have moved away from a lot of the musical guidelines of the emo genre as a whole. Since the genres of emo, screamo, and post-hardcore are pretty close, some bands may overlap from song to song, but emo only means emotional hardcore.

Okay, maybe I'm wrong. I've just seen a lot of forums when giving the definition of emo call it emotional post-hardcore.
