good interview with geoff rickley, mentions Nation of Ulysses, Orchid, Majority Rule, "emo power violence"...

i keep seeing emo band references everywhere but the actual emo influence in the music is pretty marginal if you ask me. last thing emo needs is geoff rickley making orchid cool to scene kids.

musically, it could be worse. i'm skeptic of them though.

i honestly like them. really. srsly. it gets me pissy thinking of daryl palumbo being in there but hell, i sort of like em the way i like some girls.

i seriously tell myself Thursday would've been an awesome screamo band if they actually played screamo.

they're earlier stuff was cool due to the connection/influence of You And I. I wish they had stayed that way. But actually playing screamo? I don't know. They could maybe do it, if it wasn't chaotic stuff of course.
