Default A Days Refrain

I guess if any band would be considered metal emo it would be them. I'm sure there's a better way to classify them but I'm not going to be anal about it. They're like Zann and A Fine Boat That Coffin but only 50 millions time better and um emoer. Their selftitled, which is in like the first post of the sharing thread, is awesome. The screams are ok but I really like the singy parts and the guitar goes from sublime to ridiculous, it's great. If anyone has their split with Neil Perry I'd love you if you upped it.

well, actually, i think they sound somewhere between Neil Perry and You And I. come to think of it, NJ bands kinda blend the whole screamo thing with (sometimes) off-key singing.

OT:
i don't know bout you guys, but i think i could consider Thursday's first three albums emo. (ok, fine, post-hardcore, but the good kind) there are times where i'd imagine there being more screaming as opposed to singing, and i'd think i couldn't tell the difference if Geoff didn't sing at all.

but anyway, back to A Days Refrain. i have about one or two albums, and apparently, it's taking me a while to adjust, just like with You And I.

i'll let you know if i could find the Neil Perry split. i think i found a link somewhere

ok, just to be clear, i meant i'd think thursday would sound screamo if they did a lot more screaming. and in case people are wondering why i brought them up, it's because i kinda remembered that they used to play with Neil Perry and You And I.

I wouldn't know that much about Thursday, only albums I have of theirs is War All The Time and City By The Light Divided. A Days Refrain is amazing though, I checked them out months ago in the sharing thread.

War All The Time doesn't have that fast paced feel like screamo does and a few of the songs are border line experimental. I'll have to hear the other 2 albums though.

it's not really so much as the pace, i think, but there's just something about them (at least their first three albums) that made them fit into my playlist when i'm cranking out some Neil Perry or You And I

I like them more than any other New Jersey band to be honest. S/T is absolutely stellar I have that Neil Perry split if anyone wants it.
