Im starting a soulseek thread because I didnt see one, and I thought it would be neat for just us emo kids to discuss slsk and what not. Post your slsk usernames, what you share, bloo blich blah.

Its a great program, I recommend it.

you can find nearly anything on it. and its much cleaner then limewire.

This place still have viruses....Just not as much as limewire.

If you're big into sharing stuff then it's almost necessary.

Did you upload a bunch of transcodes or something? I've never actually seen them ban someone from uploading before, just give warnings and account bans.

Was it something really popular? Because lately they've been REALLY strict about uploading transcoded leaks.

Nah, someone requested Say Anything's Menorah/Majora EP and I had downloaded it and uploaded it and then got my uploading privileges taken away for it.

WTF? That's weird. I'd tell you to speak to the mods about it, but then they'll just be even bigger douches. They seriously hate answering questions about anything.

Yeahh, I decided i'd just leave while my ratio was good and leave the stuff I have seeding, seeding. I got invited to demoniod, which isn't as good but they're less strict and okay.

I used to use Slsk a lot, but now I primarily Albumbase and Demonoid. my slsk username is:

slsk is fantastic for rare (mostly sub 192) stuff. for anything else, it's the pink palace you're looking.

and has anyone genuinely ever had virus problems with slsk? i've never been infected with anything from it.

you can only get viruses from Slsk if you're looking for them, really. besides, as long as you have Norton, you're fine. I've never gotten a virus, from Limewire (way back when I used to use it), Slsk, Azureus, or anything.

I gotta know something, if you accidentally toggled an "automatic join" to a room, how do you un-toggle it?

^right click inside the room and hit toggle room auto-join again.

removes the room from your auto-join list.

SLSK is cool, my port's been screwed up so I haven't been on as much, but there is a lot of rare material you can acquire.

Especially if you frequent a room, like the "screamo" room, it's easier to get a lot of quality albums, being able to communicate is partially why I like it.

My user name was Chinese Freeze Tag, but I changed it to MyHeroesHaveAllKilledEmoKids, I might go back, meh.

every time I venture into one of the chatrooms, it's filled with e-creeps who are talking about how big their penises are and how they want to **** 13 year-old girls and stuff. :confused:
