For me A case of Grenada and CTTS

pittthepiratesquid 05-18-2007 02:37 PM

the a case of grenada screamer sucks live.
it's all about daitro.

Alexander the Grape 05-18-2007 06:24 PM

I would love an I Wrote Haikus shirt. And I want a Foxy Shazam shirt, but they only cater to the emo kids with sizes YL and S.

xcult_classicx 05-18-2007 07:53 PM

the dude in Daitro sounds good on video though, saw a live vid on youtube.

Letcha 05-23-2007 08:40 AM

Thank you. I know that one guy a few pages back said Tommy sucks at screaming, but the more I hear his voice the more I love it.

I don't particularly like his death metal grunts, but even those are better than any other death metal grunts I have heard (looks at #12). His screams tend to be better the higher pitched they are... to a point.

CAPTAIN CAVEMAN 05-27-2007 10:31 PM

I like the screams in #12 but the grunts are pretty bad, yeah.

Alexander the Grape 05-27-2007 10:40 PM

I agree 100%. The normal screams are awesome, but the grunts nearly ruin the music. I'm getting used to them though, just like you have to get used to screaming.

CAPTAIN CAVEMAN 05-29-2007 05:28 PM

On the topic of band shirts: I am looking for an Envy shirt. Tried eBay, nothing. I tried Dim Mak's stores, the distro linked on Level Plane, and nothing; checked out Sonzai but couldn't find any store at all. any ideas?

anticipation 05-29-2007 06:11 PM

Thomas Erak.

Sneer 06-02-2007 07:21 PM

sigh, for a minute i thought this was an actual thread on the screamers.

PerFeCTioNThrUSileNCe 06-02-2007 07:59 PM

I voted CTTS. I like Fall of Troy, and Converge, but from that list I think CTTS is my favorite.

Being an artistic person, I'd love to... but I'd sort of feel like I'm kinda ripping off the band. Should I?

HeroesRevealed 06-10-2007 08:45 PM

John Henry, the screamer of Darkest Hour.

My uprunners would be Jimmy Ryan of Old Haste the Day and the screamer(s) of Escape the Fate.

xcult_classicx 06-11-2007 06:53 AM

hey, John Henry is actually someone who influenced the way i do vocals. haha

xcult_classicx 06-14-2007 10:03 AM

does anybody know the name of Hassan I Sabbah's singer? srsly?

acratertocoffin 06-14-2007 03:45 PM

He's the vocalist of Otesanek apparently, if that helps.

CAPTAIN CAVEMAN 06-23-2007 12:51 PM

Right now I am really liking the vocalist in She Died Really Pretty and I Wrote Haikus blah blah blah.

Trauma 07-02-2007 11:27 AM

I've been getting too into the way Justin Pearson does vocals for Swing Kids.

CAPTAIN CAVEMAN 07-02-2007 12:31 PM

I like The Spirit of Versailles' vocals, I don't get why people make fun of them.

xcult_classicx 07-02-2007 05:11 PM

the Spirit of Donald Duck?

I second that. CTTS also has some good vocals.

CAPTAIN CAVEMAN 07-02-2007 07:55 PM

Holy Jesus, upon further listening I really love SOV's vocals.

They do not sound like Donald Duck.

):

xcult_classicx 07-02-2007 08:13 PM

I don't have it... even though I downloaded "Discography".

It has 15 tracks. Are there others?

xcult_classicx 07-02-2007 08:48 PM

possibly, i think the discography has two discs or something i dunno

CAPTAIN CAVEMAN 07-02-2007 09:00 PM

Yeah, it does. I've only got the first.

Trauma 07-03-2007 12:36 AM

As a reaffirmation, I'm really digging the following right now: Swing Kids for normal screams, Phasma Phasmatis and A Petal Fallen for inhaled vox. Phasma Phasmatis has amazing vocals, if they haven't been mentioned already, shame on this thread.

xcult_classicx 07-03-2007 12:41 AM

Phasma Phasmatis doesn't sound inhaled. O_O
