Banon i undersatand where you are coming from when you say they are not emo, I think they are, but they are in a smaller classification of emo. I call what you think is true emo, pure emo...it has a popish sound to it. But as said by alejo " basically a form of punk rock music that has "emo"tional lyrics in them"
Screamo is emo, but just a different kind.

Oh yeah and...Thanks guys for the backup...

thrice, i agree with you up there. Yeah, i was meaning 'pure emo.' If you think about it though, most music does have emotional lyrics, so does that mean everything is kind of emo? Example: Andrew W. K. i pretty emotional about partying, so is he emo? I know he's not, but it's just an interesting thought.

anthm dying day - Yeah, i always thought about that, and ya, I am a 'dude' but that term is kinda generic anyway.

kAnEdA- Further seems forever, taking back sunday, and my chemical romance are very very good! the other two are sub-par in my opinion, but then again, that's just my opinion.

Everyone else - Saves the Day is pretty good emoish music. I really like them. The new cd is weird, but good. Also, the Anniversary is good, i don't what to call them exactly, but they rock. And how could we be forgetting The Getup Kids when talking about emo? What was I thinking? Oh well, they are a staple for the genre.
