favourite dischord bands:

1. Nation of Ulysses
2. Rites of Spring
3. Fugazi
4. Gray Matter
5. The Make Up

I have to be in the mood to listen to most Dischord bands, but I can listen to any of these whenever (except Fugazi, have to be in mood for them, but they're awesome-r than most).

have I left anything out...don't say Minor Threat, love them but marginally like Make Up better...and the rest.

I would love to hear some of the lesser known Dischord bands, for example I love Beefeater (funky hardcore stuff). But generally I like the label...not my favourite, but full of solid stuff.

Number 1? I never got into Nation Of Ulysses, it seems the singer should be in some blues band or something. I don't like his voice but song writing isn't too bad though.

Dude, much as I like a lot of bands on Dischord...Nation of Ulysses are BY FAR my favourite. Such brilliant, concentrated intensity, with all the cool jazzy influeces and amazing lyrics to boot. They're not for everyone, but you should give them another shot.

Yeah I might. I know a bunch of people who dig them, others don't. I guess my favorite of all time off Dischord has to be Fugazi, but Dag Nasty is very cool too.
