Im not as much into men as trees anymore, I heard their new recordings and they really aren't growing as a band, pretty much the same vocal pattern, same little delay thing going on, same strumming pattern with octaves. The Reptilian are badass though.

I just listened to them about 15 minutes ago and I sorta felt the same way. I love their older stuff, but I really can't listen to any of their newer stuff because it just reminds me of the older stuff which is way better. Anyhow, we played with the Reptilian a few times. I thought they were horrendous when they first started, but they are far better now than they were. If I can be blunt, which I will be, I still think they suck.

Its weird, we played the show when The Reptilian and MAT first met, somehow they became best friends overnight. How do all these bands do it?

I dont know, Ive always wondered how bands become best friends and if they talk every day and stuff but it seems like they mainly think that way if they go on tour together.

But how do you become best friends with another band overnight and plan out a tour together? Never happened for us, and I'm not sure how it does happen.

I guess some people just click, no idea, Andrew is a REALLY friendly guy so him being the organizer of stuff seems like it wouldnt be hard to just see a band, be like hey I really dig your music, we should tour together. Then the other band would just be like hell yeah man, and then just go from there. I know how you feel ben, your question transcends into other realms of life, you say "Im just as good as any of those people, why isnt that happening to me?" Is that split still happening btw?/what are you doing now music-wise?

Yeah, you're pretty much spot-on. Anyhow, as far as music, absolutely nothing. I haven't touched an instrument in months. Also, the other half moved an hour and a half away. So pretty much nothing.

Yeah, I play bass. Yeah, I mean I work with him every other day since I make the drive over to Grand Rapids which is where he lives. We just don't hang out too much outside of work and we definitely don't play anymore. We talk about it a lot, but we just don't end up doing anything.

Best Current song is Leech, have not had their discography for ****ing years, but I get my old computer back today which is pleasing. Don Martin Three were not a joke in any way; all the songs on Fire Is A Metaphor are about a friend who died in a car crash and they were sincere in the utmost.

Connection is the best example of emo music I have ever heard and I doubt anything will change that. Only thing that comes close is maybe Training Wheels by Embassy, When The Bough Breaks by Knotwork and AM 1200 by Khayembii.
