Default Emo is Emotion.

I don't know, for me yes all music should and usually does bare some sort of emotion, and if you take to that kind of literal means then I can see where you might find an offense. Still if we didn't seperate this truely amazing genre of romantic punks" as I like to call them then what place would they have in the rock industry?

I don't know about that, see I am to many a "hard core punk" because I party and I' have a ****ty family and such and do drugs, and how I dress, but I am very sensitive when you get to know me and I write poetry constantly... I am very political and I do care about what happens to the majority of people however I never trust anyone and I rarely even let down my walls to trust my friends. I'm not trying to gain a sypathy of interest points in myself I'm only trying to establish that you can have and equivalant amount of both qualities. Oh and why is it emo is considered to be a male thing? Please more females discoved their emotion long before any man.

I say this one more time.

Emo is a genre of music much like metal or punk or whatever the hell you listen to.

The lyrics are generally introspective and have alot to do with relationships.

People identify with it because we all have relationships.

If you don't than **** off and don't listen to it.

Dashboard sucks and is not what emo is really about. Dashboard is bad whiney acoustic. Terrible.

The Kodan Armada, Still Life, and Indian Summer are good. Sunny Day Realestate isn't good. Frost, thanks for telling me about TKA, they are highly talented.
