I finally got Husker Due's Everything falls apart and more cd! it is Great stuff!!! Bob mould is the origional founder of the punk genre... and his lyrics and the bands way of breaking down the barrers of that time is amazing. I however, have never met any one else with the same apreciation for this truely great band if anyone else is a fan let me know.

Molasses 01-03-2005 10:45 AM

It's Husker Du

Emo-poetic 01-03-2005 11:10 AM

sorry for my ignorant mis-spelling, formally apolagizing however spelling was never my strong suit. Still M.i.c. and Do you remember are just two great out-comings of this band. Husker Du... is one of those bands that even lame over popularized, wanna be punk groups like Green Day claim tribute to. I think they've oped many doors without effort and I'd take my hat off to them any day!"

Urban Hat€monger ? 01-03-2005 11:39 AM

Just imagine how much you`d like them if you`d heard one of their good albums

Emo-poetic 01-04-2005 09:46 AM

Good albums? which would you consider they're best? I personally love them all from Candy Apply Grey to New day rising I just love the band for everything they have done.

All_Nite_Dinah 01-04-2005 03:46 PM

I like husker du alot but i have a bad headach so i cant tyope more

cardboard adolescent 01-18-2006 02:38 PM

Has anyone heard Land Speed Records? I just got it, and it's one furious document of hard-core punk. It lacks the melody and mind-blowyness of their later records (or, specifically, Zen Arcade), but it's still a great fun punk record.

Chicken And Waffuls 01-18-2006 03:54 PM

zen arcade was decent. i havent heard alot of there stuff but the stuff i did hear was dicent. ive heard alot better.

cardboard adolescent 01-18-2006 04:08 PM

I don't know of all that many records that rank higher than Zen Arcade in my book, but hey, to each his own.

Chicken And Waffuls 01-18-2006 05:49 PM

can you recomend some other stuff of theres. or maybe a band that sounds like them?

so why did you mention him then? You may as well have pulled an artist out at random, such as bob dylan or billy joe, if you weren't implying anything.

Chicken And Waffuls 01-18-2006 06:49 PM

or prince

No, because Billy Joel and Dylan have nothing to do with Punk.
I don't care what anyone says Johnny Rotten is an authority on the history and true sentiment of Punk.

And don't knock Prince:finger:

OH! They didn't know that John Lydon and Johnny Rotten are the same person?!

cardboard adolescent 01-18-2006 07:15 PM

I'm pretty sure they did.

John Lydon hardly started punk rock.

sleepy jack 01-18-2006 07:18 PM

No, of course i dont know who he is I dont know a single thing about punk.

bungalow 01-18-2006 07:19 PM

Well, why did you say

"and lydon is..."

Like I've already said; 'I never said that.'

But what I did say was; 'Johnny Rotten is an authority on the history and true sentiment of Punk.'

Shooting Star 01-21-2006 02:50 PM

Bob Mould is God. I must say I do appreciate me Zen Arcade... To THE MAX!!!11

I was responding to bungalowbill, not you.

I agree that Rotten is an authority on punk, but he's also living proof that punk is dead. He became so completely disillusioned with what happened to punk that he completely detached himself from it. See PiL.

hiu 01-21-2006 03:39 PM

That's not really a bad thing considering PiL are fucking way better than the Sex Pistols were.

cardboard adolescent 01-21-2006 03:47 PM

I prefer most post-punk to punk. Both have their merits, but in the end post-punk just does it for me.

White Lies 05-21-2006 11:37 AM

BUMP!

I listened to Zen Arcade. What an immense album, that last song is insane. I suppose thhis is their best, yeah?

stakeraiser 05-22-2006 05:25 PM

I recommend Bob Mould's band, Sugar. Both Copper Blue and File Under Easy Listening are great albums

hiu 05-22-2006 09:33 PM

I also enjoy Sugar but they don't lay a finger on most things Husker Du produced. I think no Grant Hart makes Sugar just that little bit behind Husker Du in terms of quality, still a great band though.

swim 07-13-2006 07:13 AM

bump.

Great band. Anyone who doesn't love Zen Arcade has no soul.

Urban Hat€monger ? 07-13-2006 11:21 AM

I need to hear Grant Harts Nova Mob.

I just never get around to it for some reason.

I even had their Last Days Of Pompei album on order but they sold out & refunded me :(

cardboard adolescent 07-15-2006 03:53 PM

I finally got Last Days... I'm uploading and listening to it right now.

'tis Goot!

cardboard adolescent 07-15-2006 06:13 PM

Nova Mob - Last Days of Pompeii

Urban Hat€monger ? 07-15-2006 06:24 PM

Oh well done that man

cardboard adolescent 04-25-2008 11:04 PM

I finally got The Living End... the live versions of Land Speed Records and Warehouse Songs and Stories songs tend to be better to than the originals. Awesome.

viv. 04-26-2008 04:53 PM

Don't skip the Metal Circus EP - it's excellent.

cardboard adolescent 04-26-2008 05:00 PM

God I love It's Not Funny Anymore

Inuzuka Skysword 04-27-2008 12:55 PM

I just got Zen Arcade, and I am hoping it is really good. It influenced a lot of good artists so I can imagine it won't be bad. I just hope it won't be like The Velvet Underground where I can appreciate it, but it is hard for me to listen to.

can_i_say 04-28-2008 01:37 AM

Husker Du, The Replacements, Flipper etc is what I would call Alternative Rock. When people apply the term to Angels and Airwaves and 30 To Seconds To Mars I want to fight them.

Anyways, Zen Arcade makes it into my top 10.
