What does "Emo" even refer to anymore? Nowadays when i hear people call something emo it is usually deathcore bands like Job for a Cowboy. I have heard nothing about whiny bands that i would have associated with emo, and there are no "emo kids" at my school...

emo is a bastardized term that hasnt been used correctly since mainstream record labels used it to market the generic bands they put out.
has anyone ever listened to Grade before? They kind of started the whole neo-emo thing but did it pretty sweet. i know a lot of people call scenesters emo, gah. |
