i don't think Neil Perry was named after an australian chef, i think they got their name from the character in Dead Poets Society who killed himself with his father's revolver.

by the end of the movie, at this finishing school, they said something like, "let us mourn for the loss of mr. neil perry"

His guitar work is masterful, just because he's singing vocals that are spazzy as hell while doing it.

He's also got a great scream, and listens to CTTS.
