I loved it at first but I think that was just the excitement over it being a new JM album. It's definitely got some great tracks on it and it's a lot better than their sophomore album but their debut and the split they did with Summer Vacation are really the best imo. It felt like there was a bit of filler here and there but Victory, Schley, Heart Tattoo, and Catalina Fight Song are all great 5/5 tracks. You can really hear Barry channeling his inner Morrissey on some songs. It's cool to see them experimenting a bit with more spaced out/slower tracks and the synthesizers were a nice addition. Good pace throughout. Excited to see how they perform the new songs live. JM live has always been killer, people go nuts at their shows.
