seems like a real case of "not even the best drummer in The Beatles" I mean I'm supposed to think the tracks on RoC measure up to:

Not really. Slint had their roots in post-hardcore, but on Spiderland their sound was evolved far beyond it. What the two bands have in common is not really to do with post-hardcore itself: weird guitars and quiet-loud dynamics.

That's a fact, I only listen exclusively from 2000 to present day. It's a bad habit but I don't plan on quitting anytime soon.

Oh please I did the whole older music thing for years, found recordings from 2000 upwards much more satisfying. So yes son, my taste is very well "developed".

It's not older music vs younger music

It's not an "older music" thing

All music within the last 60 years is basically modern music the arbitrary 00's cut off is questionable
