kent is a swedish alt rock/pop band and one of my favorite bands ever and i’m very lucky to have seen them live. i’m wondering if anyone here that isn’t swedish knows of them? i think more people should know of them even though they don’t sing in english. i highly recommend listening to isola and/or vapen & ammunition it’s some of my favorite records. very beautiful melodie’s and lyrics if you translate them.

I checked them out and liked both albums, though vapen & ammunition a little more. Very beautiful. Will have to look up translations of the lyrics.

that makes me so happy! personally i think their lyrics are great but might not be the same if it’s not in english even if it’s the same words.

Right you do lose a lot in translations...but I still really enjoyed them! Would you say they have a particularly Swedish sound?

yes i do think so, i think their music perfectly captures the cold feeling of stockholm and sweden perfectly.
