So can wilco be considered indie? Sure, they're folk, Rock, country and even a little jazz. But they aren't concerned with commercial success, they stay true to themselves and what they want to do, yet they are still popular like The White Stripes.

I mean, the white stripes really aren't indie, they're blues rock and garage rock, but are still considered indie. So why couldn't wilco be considered indie as well?

I don't really see indie as anything other than an extra label to throw on a band.

I consider them indie. They don't pry themselves on fame, they make music for their fans and anyone who wants to get into them. They could've easily sold out by now but they really don't need too.

I realize that my post lacks a decent segue, but I'm desperately looking for tabs for "Lines" by Lucy Rose. Anyone know where I might find some? I don't play guitar but I need tabs for my bandmates.

Thanks!

Who's mentioned Indie Rap by now? Atmosphere, Sage Francis, K. Flay, Illogic, El-P Blue Scholars.

Very very interesting and useful threaed for an old classic rocker like me that feel like expanding his musical horizons with alternative and indie.
