MySpace.com - FOALS - nevernever land, UK - Pop / Pop / Pop - www.myspace.com/foals

Very promising...

pheurton 01-15-2008 02:49 PM

Their demos were better, well the ones they had up in 06.

Foals - Mathletics

I just figured out that the lead singer was on Nevermind the Buzz****s a few weeks ago...heh....*fail*

GravitySlips 02-06-2008 03:02 PM

They are FANTASTIC live. This band will probably get real big soon, they supported Bloc Party and they have all the ingredients. Their live show is phenomenally energetic and fun. I like them.

adidasss 02-06-2008 03:05 PM

Bastard!

abstractsolo4agirl 05-23-2008 12:29 AM

AGREE!!!!!
i went to their seattle show a couple of days ago it was amazingly entertaining and fun compare to the other bands that played
and besides the lead singer is so attractive :]

FireInCairo 08-11-2008 06:33 AM

i think they are great...but they bear far too much resemblance to gang of four for my tastes

insinkerator 08-12-2008 03:56 AM

I started listening to them about 6 or 7 months ago...... I used to absolutely love Balloons. I used to listen to nothing else(witin reason obviously)... However, now i have come to the point where i am starting to think they are a bit similar. The drummers beats tend to have the same idea to them in every song, bleepy, jangly, bitty guitar is getting a bit repetitive. Still a really cool band tho:D. Would LOVE to see them live

insinkerator 01-22-2009 06:16 AM

They ahve been working on their new album out in Hawaii. They are trying to incorporate a beach feel into it.

Im in two minds as to wether they are going to come out with a record of the same strength as antidotes, but even so im still looking forward to it

ExopoliticalIdealist 08-22-2009 03:14 PM

Back in like 03 i accidentally ****ed up my hair, and it ended up coming out like that!lol
Yeah the foals have a lot of talent, the melody of the two guitars go together perfectly,It kinda reminds me of polka in a weird way.

scottsy 08-23-2009 12:02 AM

They sound kinda interesting... if anyone wants to send some samples.... :-p

franzfergidon 08-23-2009 08:12 PM

I really like them. I could listen to Antidotes all day long.

jackhammer 05-16-2010 05:55 PM

Views on the new album? It's growing on me with each listen.

As an aside does anyone have any of their E.P's? As I would love to give them a listen pre Antidotes.

jackhammer 05-19-2010 07:42 PM

I don't get u lot. A new album from a band that makes tracks that although not unfriendly to radio to the point of being obtuse, still make classy guitar Pop. I guess they are not trendy enough these days :(

Total Life Forever is a damn solid album.

adidasss 05-20-2010 10:29 AM

Haven't gotten around to listening to it yet, I'd guess it's because the single (whatever it was) was rather underwhelming. I'll give it a go one of these days tho, I really liked Antidotes.

Sneer 05-20-2010 02:08 PM

I finally started enjoying Antidotes a year after I diwnloaded it. And guess what, I don't like this one on first listen either. I'll come back to you in a year.

jackhammer 05-21-2010 05:27 PM

I can't stop listening to the newie. It's almost a step backwards as it's a lot more subdued and a little less commercial than the debut but I really do like it.

jackhammer 07-04-2010 05:39 PM

No more chat about their latest album? Makes me sad. I think it's phenomenal and a little less commercial than the first album which suggests to me a band interested in the music and not capital gains.

deadbeatsummah 07-05-2010 09:40 AM

i've been really feeling "this orient" by foals. so amazing. i think they are a fantastic band. i wish i could see them live.

chemicaldanny 09-24-2010 09:52 PM

I absolutely cannot stop bumping the title track from TLF. Totally stunning. Unfortunately nothing else on the record has had even a quarter the impact on me.

sidewinder 10-10-2010 02:29 AM

Anyone else seriously reminded of The Cure when listening to Total Life Forever? It's mostly in the vocals.

Madam Butterfly 02-26-2013 12:19 AM

Off to see them next week...mucho excited...love their new album too...

Same here, can't wait for it. I reckon it is going to be quality show

Madam Butterfly 03-02-2013 10:56 AM

Hope so...will let you know what I think -:)

14232949 03-02-2013 11:10 AM

Yannis crowd surfing whilst playing and singing was quality! Blown away with their energy too. Intense at times, they've got my vote...wanna go again

ppltom 03-08-2013 11:09 AM

Oh, I would love to go again, kinda regret letting London tickets go.

I am one of the luckiest persons, a day before the gig on Sunday evening, I went to have a few pints to one of the oldest pubs in Liverpool and guess what has happened there???

I met them there, I was speechless and could not believe they were standing in front of me buying a few pints.

Never!! That's really cool! Did you speak to them? You shoulda asked them for a couple of cheeky tickets!

ppltom 03-09-2013 03:34 PM

Noo, too cheeky asking for tickets. I had tickets ready anyways.

I had a few words with them as I approached and asked for a pic with them and spoke to them once they were leaving. Great success!

By the way, loads of people were trying to buy tickets just before the gig. Poor stuff.
