Just read somewhere that their debut album is about child abuse, among other related themes. If so, on which songs?

Alright, looked up the Moors murders and it fits perfectly. I read somewhere that Reel Around the Fountain is about paedophilia too, can that be true?

I really like The Smiths. I like Morrisey's voice and I think he's a great lyricist. Not too bad..

The Smiths are one of my three or four favorite musical artists, but it annoys me when angsty teenagers talk about how much Morrissey's lyrics speak to them. Morrissey's lyrics shouldn't speak to you. They're a great band because they wrote great pop songs.
