I know the Smith's debut word for word, because it's really ****ing good. But like the Holy Bible it's not an album that you should really expose yourself to in a fragile mind state. No, definitely not...

apparently, facts fans, William, It Was Really Nothing was inspired by Morrissey's affair with Billy Mackenzie, singer of the rather brilliant Associates (see below).


incidentally if anyone has the Associates cover of 'Boys Keep Swinging' I demand you send it to me with all possible haste
