God, Nels is just fantastic. He used to be an avante-garde guitarist so that's why he's got that cool "style" to his playing.

Jesus Etc is their best song. The violin and vocals make it amazing.

Oooh no.
It reminds me of Crowded House.

Handshake Drugs, if I were pushed, would be my favourite.
Amazing band.

Also, Jeff Tweedy often does solo, acoustic shows.
I've been to one and was blown away.

I guess this is kinduva mega bump; but whatever. I love these guys too much to not post about them here.

Is there a correct answer on favorite album? So many different styles, so much different stuff. I know many people don't like A.M. but for what it is I believe its a solid album in its on right. Being There for the longest time was actually my favorite, but nowadays I have no clue what my favorite album by Wilco is. They are all good in their own right. I even enjoyed Sky Blue Sky, which I know by some is somewhat looked down upon. I know its a bit of a step back and a lot more chill than the previous albums, but I like it nonetheless.

My issue with Wilco, as fine a band they are, don't make consistent records (besides YHF). Each of their albums, excluding YHF, have some great songs but as whole records they flounder. For every great song, theirs an equally bad one. But of course, they gifted us with Yankee Hotel Foxtrot. One of the best records in the past 15 years. So credit goes where credits due, but I wish I could enjoy more of their stuff.

I understand where you're coming from. I guess that's what I love so much about music, and more specifically talking with others about music. I get to see other interesting and insightful opinions. Even if I disagree with some; still makes an interesting conversation. I can definitely agree there's some weak Wilco songs out there, I don't think I feel as strongly about them as you do, but that's where the opinion part comes in. Overall, I think Being There, Summerteeth, and A Ghost is Born are all good albums in their own rights. My favorite is always somewhere among those four released from '96-'04.

What'd you think of Star Wars?

I didn't hate it, but I didn't love it. I feel like I'm one of very few people that feel that way, because it seems everyone either really enjoyed it, or hated it with no middle ground.

I really need to listen to it a couple more times to give it a complete thought though and actually be fair.
