Post rock it may be...but it is superb music. Pretentious? There's nothing more pretentious than 80's prog rock!

i just hope post-rock bands continue to make an effort to do something more.. theres alot of the genre around that sound like they're trying to be either Godspeed or Explosions.

though there are also loads of good ones, so its cool at the mo :)

instead of Explosions in the Sky.... check out FROM THE SKY, they combine the sound of How Strange, Innocence.. with the power of Mono.
