Nah man...this is the best band in Manchester and unsigned until very recently. Now with Columbia...expect big things.
Listen to Strife in particular...northern Kinks anyone?

bland, insanely derivative britpop rubbish, going absolutely nowhere at all. parts even sound 95% lifted from oasis lines.

Freudian slip.

I love the British indie scene whenever and wherever it's doing something at least relatively new, fresh and original. I want to be proud of the British indie scene, being a brit myself. I like Los Campesinos, The Arctic Monkeys, The Clientele, and others...I just really don't think that particular band you posted are doing anything that seems distinctive or interesting, or that the songs were particularly good pop either. That's why I feel it's comfortably predictable that they won't get much notice.

But I do hear there are some decent new acts in Manchester here and there.
