I like OM for their quirky take on pop songs...not many bands can be catchy while modulating through circles of keys, but they pull it off, especially on "*** Parade" and "Hissing Fauna"

*edit* wow, the "g" word was censored...

Its all about The Music Tapes, Julian Koster is a fking genius

NHM, Apples in Stereo, Olivia Tremor Control, Beulah and My First Keyboard are all well worth exploring blogs for too.

I HATE Of Montreal though.

I always thought Frog Eyes were E6 too, they have that distinctive sound... turns out they're not.

I'm a huge Of Montreal fan. Have not heard anything else from Elephant 6, if anyone would be willing to suggest to me an album or two, that would be awesome.

As mentioned above those Neutral Milk Hotel and Apples In Stereo albums would be great to start out with. I’d also recommend Olivia Tremor Control’s Dusk at Cubist Castle and Circulatory System’s self titled album.
