Default Crippled Black Phoenix

surprised there isnt already a thread on these..

'A love of shared disasters' is one of my favourite releases of the year so far, and their 10" is one of my favourite records. members of Mogwai, Electric Wizard and more playing dark neurosis-esque folk rock. Well worth a listen.

BUMP!

How have this band escaped my attention for so long? Crippled Black Phoenix are a seemingly ever changing collective of musicians from bands such as Electric Wizard, Gonga, Iron Monkey and Mogwai and so I should have been aware of the existence of this band quite some time ago!

How to classify this bands music? Overall it is quite dark and moody but with elements of post-rock, doom metal, folk and God knows what else thrown in there. Its not necessarily instantly accessible but musically astounding, in my opinion.
