Boring? Boring!
How dare you describe, miserable Mancunian verses and melodies as musically boring!

out of interest, did Curtis actually write any of the music at all? I had always assumed the responsibility for the music rested on the other band members.

From what I know Curtis was responsible for the lyrics only, but they did collaborate.
Curtis would listen to what they had and fit his already written lyrics around it.
I'm sure he'll have contributed partly, but on the whole, no.
Unless someone knows better...

Ian would listen to whatever the band had and write lyrics for it. Musically he did play guitar on some songs.

I did that with elliott smith, then after falling in love my heart was broken when I find out he was already dead.

My favourite songs by this band are Insight off of Unknown Pleasures, and the single Love Will Tear Us Apart, which is an incredible, brilliant song.

I didn't say there was a guitar on insight. I said the line from 24 hours makes me think of insight.
