Joy Division. Closer. Sounds like an album I should hear right now.

I recommend doing a bit of Ian Curtis research on his life before hearing Closer.
It's a very personal album and knowing a bit about what was gong on in his head helps.

Atmosphere is probably one of my favourite songs ever. The mood it sets for me is amazing.

Sometimes it is good to hear something without any pre concieved emotional views I.E the music should stand up on it's own two feet. This is not a criticism of artist or album (whom I love both ).

While thats true, it doesn't do any harm to know what the album is all about though.
I was of course only referring to the lyrical content of Closer and I think it'd be a waste to judge it on it's musical content only.

@Rainard...let me know if you want a quality download.

True musically Closer is pretty boring (except Decades, Isolation, and The Eternal) but Heart & Soul, 24 Hrs., and Colony are really dry, Ian's lyrics really carry the songs on the album.
