Default Ugly Casanova

Isaac Brock (Modest Mouse)'s other band, I finally got around to listening to Sharpen Your Teeth i'm really liking it, its different than Modest Mouse but fans of MM would still like it. In addition to Isaac Brock there's Tim Rutili (Califone, Red Red Meat), Pall Jenkins (The Black Heart Procession), John Orth (Holopaw), and Brian Deck. I'll upload their album if anyone wants it.

Recommendations:
Cat Faces
Barnacles
Things I Dont Remember
Parasites

Oh man, that album is so great. I think my favourite songs on it are Hotcha Girls and Parasites.

The album is pretty good but it has its days for me. It's catchy and awkward at the same time.

Has anyone taken a listen to the new Ugly Casanova material? It's off the 180 South Soundtrack. What are some opinions?

The album is great, such a different sound than modest mouse but so incredible.

Isaac Brock has recently written a bunch of new songs under the name Ugly Casanova but with different members. This was done for a soundtrack for the movie "180° South" (great movie btw). The songs are mostly instrumental with a few that aren't but they are quite good.

i'd post links to the movie and soundtrack but i need 15 posts :p

if you go to indiemuse.com and search the soundtrack you should be able to find two free songs from the soundtrack to download

Edit: also arcticsounds.org has an amazing video of one of their concerts from the early 2000s (as well as lots of live MM)

having been a fan of all the members and their own projects....this album at first was a little hard to handle.....but after a couple listens turned out to be a great collaboration between them all
