Default Ray LaMontagne

Wondering who is familiar with him.

Fairly enjoyable, nothing spectacular but certainly worthwhile.

I've included an up for his first of two albums. Ray LaMontagne - Trouble.zip

The story is that he was inspired by a Stephen Stills album to quit his job and become a musician. I would not give anyone this advice, but love the potential of that kind of story.

Anyway here's the guy.

I'm bumping this because some of you would really like this guy. I didn't want tom oversell him, but some people I know say this is their favorite album ever, so that's pretty big right?

No need to be sorry, I can't decide rather you'll love him or find him boring.

If you're up for it, just listen to the first track ASAP and see if it makes you want to hear the rest or not, that's always a good test.

I have heard a couple of tracks before. He has a great voice, but this sort of music does'nt really do a lot for me.

I heard Trouble lots on the radio and it's a nice enough song but it never really inspired me to go out and look for more of his stuff. He's another one of those artists where he's a lot younger than I'd imagined. Where are all of these amazing voices coming from all of a sudden?

Oh, I love him. I think there's a live EP on iTunes, it's worth a listen. Definitely one of those artists you have to hear live.

I only recently picked up Against the Grain. I haven't given it enough spins to give it a proper review, but suffice to say I absolutely love it.
