Yes. While eating mushrooms with two of my friends. It was a very memorable experience to say the least.

Has anyone ever read the Pitchfork review of Zaireeka? I always remember it because it was so retarded. The reviewer gave the album a 0.0 and he was all up in arms about the four disc thing, saying it was only geared at the wealthy because nobody owns four CD players. I remember reading it and thinking, "Does this guy not have any friends with CD players that he could invite over any experience the album as a group, the way the Flaming Lips probably intended?"

Zaireeka does get some great attention, particularly from critics. It's getting a 33 1/3 publication. Check their wikipedia page.

I recently listened to Transmission From The Satellite Heart, and it's very good. Some of the songs hint at what they would later do with the soft bulletin, which is the album I respect the most from their discography.

Yoshimi has a different feel than Soft Bulletin, but i would take the latter over the former any day.

I did this as well the first time I ate mushrooms of the blow-your-mind variety except we had four kind of ****ty boomboxes and a few skipped so it got all our of synch and we gave up and went outside. :/

i think soft bulletin is the sound of steven taking the main role musically, the drumming is incredible

People will disagree but yoshimi is def my favorite album. I've made a few memories to it so that may be the reason but I remember loving it on first listen. It's always the one I recommend to first time listeners.
