I found a torrent although it's 160kbps, but going to check it out anyway. Yeah Teen Dream was great but their first two albums were forgettable.

The new album is amazing. What does it sound like? Basically Beach House only even better. Guitars seem to have more purpose other than to just provide texture, the music has more dynamics and the songs are better overall. By far the best new album I've heard this year.

I downloaded Bloom this morning for my drive into school because of the considerable hype this band has and I must that it's got me hooked. I admit I don't really have a point of reference as I haven't listened to much of Beach House's previous albums outside of a few Spotify tracks but I'm really digging the simple synths, spaced out guitars, and Nico-esque vox.

But how did you get the new album so early? I thought it came out today?

It leaked quite early, but I'm going to get the CD soon anyway.

It's still one of my favourite albums of the year so far. It's not a big departure from Teen Dream but it still manages to sound captivating. I think rather than completely changing their sound from album to album they are focusing on perfecting this one sound. If it's a formula that works then there is no need to change it I guess.

It's fair to call it an extension of Teen Dream. I love it though and have listened to it a dozen times since its leak. Still waiting for the CD.

Are they worth seeing live? I have the chance on June 13. As far as their music goes, I really like a few songs (Walk in the Park and Myth to name a couple), but am not crazy about their discography as a whole.

Go!!!

If you only like a few songs then you shouldn't go. Why go and be miserable? Don't listen to off her Roxy

It's not that I dislike the other songs; their studio versions just don't quite do it for me. I'm wondering if that would change in a live setting. I guess there's only one way to find out.

They sound pretty much like they do in the studio when seen live. It's not like they have extended jams, super light shows, and stuff like that. Well, I mean they usually have a drummer when they play live, so it adds another more organic layer to songs as opposed to the programmed percussion made by the organ Victoria uses. They're also very beautiful people, so you could always just stare at them for the entire show.
