Does anyone know of any band that have a sound similar to the Gorillaz?

Well the mix of hip-hop and dancey elements with acoutic moments make me think Beck.

keep in mind beck's albums are pretty varied. stick with 'odelay' or 'guero' for something similar to the gorillaz. you might also check out the avalanches.

i think you should get a hold of one of alburns other side projects, notably the good the bad and the queen. different, but a sound that more closely approaches gorillaz than blur; it should not disappoint.

for some reason the first time i ever listened to aesop rock it made me think of the gorillaz, although this doesn't make very much sense
