keep in mind beck's albums are pretty varied. stick with 'odelay' or 'guero' for something similar to the gorillaz. you might also check out the avalanches.

i think you should get a hold of one of alburns other side projects, notably the good the bad and the queen. different, but a sound that more closely approaches gorillaz than blur; it should not disappoint.

beck works too!

for some reason the first time i ever listened to aesop rock it made me think of the gorillaz, although this doesn't make very much sense
