Hi there I'm going to add to the HEALTH thread because out of all the newer bands I have been listening to these guys just totally stand out as powerful. Like they actually make me feel like I am being lifted to a higher place haha I just love the song We Are Water and Die Slow and Nice Girls man oh man.

In my top 5 for 2009 fer sure. 'Get Color' is everything I wanted their self-titled to be (not to say that that album doesn't have it's merits-I love it as well).

I've only listened to Get Color so far. I think it's great but i get what you mean about melody.

Just started listening to this band because of this thread. Good balance of melody with abstract sounds & great drums throughout. Really interesting. Hard to buy though - I guess if you're commercial & want to be easily found you dont call yourself Health!

Noise rock band from Los Angeles. They've only released two albums and did the soundtrack for Max Payne 3. I enjoy them quite a bit
