Default Akron/Family

I love this band. Running, Returning is their best song IMO. And Before and again is my second. And myspace just happens to have both.

MySpace.com - Akron / Family - BROOKLYN, New York - Psychedelic / Folk Rock / Experimental - www.myspace.com/akronfamily

Ill even add the lyrics for ya to inspire you to click the link. I could get lost in this song all day, especially loaded

Running, Returning.

Sooner, or later
Everyone will know
Within the shadows
In there light will grow
And love is on its way
It's more than I can see

Running, returning
On and on it goes
To a place
Where love begins to grow
And I am away
To where I've always been

Come walk with me in the morning light
Call the curious sun
And before I, inside heaven in our hands
And when the cold wind blows
We'll wake up on the other side
Where the sunlight sounds like moonlight in our ears

And even underground
They'll hear
Songs of our soul
Song without tears

I can relate. I have one of their albums but it has never clicked with me.

I like some of their stuff and hate some of their stuff. They aren't very consistent in their sound.

Love this band, in particular the s/t and Set Em Wild Set Em Free, one minute they can be beautifully delicate and melodic, the next they slam into a jam freak out. Not very consistent in their sound? Do you want all their songs to sound the same? I love the variation.

I love these guys. I've been playing the hell out of their latest album. I've been meaning to check out some of their earlier stuff but I've been lazy.

I wasn't ever able to get into them... I'd ask about older releases (I've only heard the new one) but like you mentioned Stu, it's so varied I can't imagine I'd like any of their output. Definitely a top notch band, just doesn't do it for me.

Seriously, the variation in sound is a treat, it means you never get bored because of the unpredictability of their output, every new song is a surprise. I strongly suggest you check out the s/t before casting them off
