Okay, that's just nitpicking.

no. give credit where credit is due. saying that his other works were "near perfect" certainly sets the standard high for anything else he might do. my point, these three songs need to be judged on their own merits and are so hard to compare to his other albums that it is not worth doing. I am sure people would still be happy by a whole album of songs just like "love and some verses" and "naked as we came" but sam beam isn't having any more of that and I am proud of him, especially considering his first albums really aren't all that special to being with.

Picked up Walking Far From Home. The new sound is amazing, it's a good departure for ole Sam me thinks. I love all the songs, but my absolute fave is the title track.

^ have to agree, though I am not the most fanatic about Iron & Wine, the new single was really really good. Caught myself humming it the other day, well more like mumbling it, must have been nervous...but anyways yeah.

Scott have you heard Upward Over the Mountain? That song is the bee's knees. Jesse Lacey did a pretty good cover of it too.

Yea man I have but I had no idea Jesse covered it, so Im on it!
Jesse often steals the limelight of the song when he does covers haha.
Perfect example being twoheaded boy part II.
