Brian Eno and Dark Side are great but may certainly lead to some obscure dreams. I think the more ambient the better.

Recently I've gotten into Sarah Fimm, beautiful voice with a bed of ambient music underlying in just the right blend...

Sigur Ros albums '()' and Ágætis Byrjun are great sprawling albums to fall asleep to.
Also Adore by the Smashing Pumpkins. I know the album gets a lot of criticism but it's a really great album to fall asleep to, and it's the best way to listen to the album.
Slowdive are also a great band to fall asleep to.

Well, not ideal to have a kip to, but it is incredibly atmospheric if you're listening to it in the dark on headphones.

Not even I can fall asleep to Radiohead. Sigur Ros for sure, Nick Drake and Citay get a few late night spins as well.

That's because you get too aroused thinking about Thom Yorke.
