PiL was John Lydon's attempt of trying to reach something on the same scale as someone like Can. He didnt reach it but it is still decent music. Jah Wobble's basslines are insanely deep though. Which is always a plus point.

Pil, is better than can.. more enjoyable
The earl pil album. just called first edition, still has a very aggressive vein in it.

Ege Bamyasi is probably the most accessable , as is Soundtracks.

If you like those then Tago Mago & Monster Movie should be next.

Tago Mago in the dark with headphones was my best musical experience ever.

I agree with Mamagarmr that First Edition is PiL's best album. Low Life being my favourite song on there.

oh wow, i'm glad some other people appreciate this band...i was a huge fan soon after they ended, but no one else that i knew really gave a damn about them
