The more I listen to the new album (and I've been listening a LOT), the more i've realized it's a grower.

I do agree with this, and while at the moment I still think Hospice is better, I can still see Burst Apart coming close or maybe even surpassing it with more listens.

I'm really happy with Burst Apart, it's fast becoming one of my favourite releases of 2011. It good that they didn't stick to the same formula and that they decided to keep things fresh and interesting. It's still far too early to compare it to Hospice but it's an extremely well put together album and I'm sure that I'll love it even more with repeated listens.

Favourite song at the moment is 'Every Night My Teeth Are Falling Out'.

My presence on MB starts to pay off indeed. The Antlers may as well be my new favourite band (for the rest of the weekend). Having listened to "Hospice" and "Burst apart" back to back I realise that they're mainly about timid melodies with a perpetual underlying desperation to them that grows upon you. I dub it "twilight pop" and can't wait to throw a late-night afterparty if only to shove this down the throats of my fellows. Thanks for this one!

I was introduced to The Antlers around December in 2010, I frequented a music blog and they suggested the song Two. It got a nice numbered play count on my iTunes until I was able to buy the album, Hospice. I wasn't sure how I felt after I listened to it. After a few more times, I came to the conclusion that I have respect for it. Sylvia is my favorite. But I am willing to check out the new album, eventually.

Hospice was a great album, but I have to say that it did kinda' make me want to off myself every time I listened to it. Well that's an exageration, but still. I'm just saying it's kind of like being stuck in a K-hole. Maybe y'all don't know what I'm talkin' about. Anyways, Is the new album maybe a little brighter?

Is it weird that I don't find Hospice that depressing. I find it's emotional and sad, but it's never made me depressed.
