Morning light is a pretty tight song, the vocals on that especially. the whole album is kind of "emo", but i really liked it.

Bump. Let's remember one of the best indie bands of the new millennium.

While their debut Album wasn't love at first sight for me, Father, Son, Holy Ghost was and is for me one of the best albums of the past decade.

One of the highlights:

I can't put my finger on their sound, but what it seems to convey is a lovelorn melancholy that puts Ryan Adams to shame.

My Pitchforkian assessment of their short discography:

Album - 8.2/10
Broken Dreams Club - 7.3/10
Father, Son, Holy Ghost - 9.2/10

They went out at the height of their game.
Unfortunately Owens never seems to have managed to reach those heights again through his other projects.
