I've got a better question...Why doesn't ANY band play east of Quebec?? We may live simpler lives, but we still love music as much as the average Torontonian

to be fair, you DO get your fair share of rita mcneil, great big sea, and the rankin family right? lol

it's hard enough getting good bands to come thru ottawa (the nation's capital) and when they do it's either Scotiabank Place (which is basically situated in a farmer's field 30 minutes outside the city) or some cramped battle-of-the-bands quality venue downtown. ****'s weak

My sister got my started on Modest Mouse about a year ago with the "Good news" album. Since then I've been hooked, easily one of my favorite bands. I was able to see them about a month ago. HOLY ****! that was a great concert, I couldnt get it out of my head for weeks haha. I can not wait to see them again.

No really. I love modest mouse. :] They're like my 2nd favorite band.
They're really talented and a lot of their songs, World at Large, Ocean Breathes Salty, and others like that, all of their songs have messages. Really good music. :] Indieee all the way.

I have to say, I was slightly disappointed with We Were Dead Before The Ship Even Sank. Am I the only one?

March Into the Sea and Dashboard are two of my favorite songs done by Modest Mouse ever, but Florida? Little Motel? Incredible disappointments.
At least, in my opinion.
