I always thought they were alright. Pretty good for a newer band that is still making music. I saw them live about a month ago. I couldnt get into it.They're not bad I guess. I think Isaac Brock is pretty overrated as a lyricist.

As a huge fan, this was an excellent watch:

Been trying to get into Good news but didn't rate it too much. I've just made a playlist of some of the best songs and have given up on the rest. I did the same thing with We were dead too. Not gonna bother with the earlier stuff though.

I'm rather disappointed with the lack of attention for Modest Mouse on this forum. I personally love this band, it took me a while to get into it (admittedly, Brock's voice is hard to get into) but now I absolutely love Moon & Antartica and Lonesome Crowded West, fantastic albums.

All of their best work is from 2001 or earlier.

You at least have to try The Lonesome Crowded West.

Default Modest Mouse's Upcoming Album

According to Isaac Brock, Modest Mouse has been working on new music for a while now. And they have been playing new material at the festival's they are attending. So their new album cannot be far off.

When do you think it will be released?
Do you think that it will live up to the quality of work Modest Mouse has had in the past?
How do you think their sound will have changed since We Were Dead?
