the best album in this 'genre' is Elefant - Sunlight Makes Me Paranoid. Was out in 2003 too, can't belive more people haven't heard it and agree. Check it out and let me know!

Elefant is pretty catchy, but something about the lead's voice that I don't like.

I like them, but I wouldn't say they're in the same genre as bands like Hot Hot Heat, The Rapture, Radio 4, etc.

I was a little disappointed in their debut, I was expecting a lot more from it, but still pretty good. I'll probably get their new one.

Hmm, I don't mind the new album, but it's no Elevator. Havn't listened to Make Up The Breakdown, which I really should get around to doing, as I've heard it's their best album.

I prefer Elevator, but it's pretty close. Fewer tracks makes for a tighter album.

ooo hot hot heat.
i really really used to like them a lot.
saw them at reading this year, and they failed to dissapoint.
although the crowd didn't really know any of their stuff and out of the 10 people around me i appeared to be the only one to know anything, but then 'bandages' came on and everyone went crazy, ha.

The only album I've heard from Hot Hot Heat besides their recent one was Elevator. Happiness wasn't too bad, my favorite track has to be conversation though. Which album is talk to me dance with me on? I can't seem the find that album.
