I'd love to see your signature/links too, but the huge and obnoxious ones have caused me to block all signatures.

It was just a sarcastic comment that popped into my head. Jesus christ i think there's more than enough Radiohead on MB.

built to spill - theres nothing wrong with love
at the drive in - relationship of command
modest mouse - lonesome crowded west
neutral milk hotel - in the aeroplane over the sea
cursive - domestica

there are plenty of others, top 5 or essential 5 makes this hard..
but these are albums that i have found myself returning to numerous times throughout the years along with so many others.

^ Great list! Replace ITAOTS with On Avery Island and it would be even better!

The Beach Boys - Pet Sounds
The Velvet Underground - Self Titled
Husker Du - Zen Arcade
Pixies - Come all you pilgrams EP
Animal Collective - Strawberry Jam

Essential recordings, for me anyway. The first two are not necessarly indie but they definatly helped start the foundation for the bands to come.
