I think Archers of Loaf is the quintessential partner band to Pavement. And also, Sebadoh.

i mostly like melancolic stuff, like radiohead, feist, and etc. really like female vocals (more mellow), especially stuff like regina spektor, fiona apple, st vincent, cat power and bat for lashes

any ideas
