Manchester is turning into Seattle? Why?

There is no grunge in Manchester. If you are talking about Nine Black Alps, then that is ONE band, out of many many bands. And they aren't even that grunge.

deadkennedysmeetstheclash 07-14-2005 05:40 AM

The bravery are nothing more than an adam and the ant revival act, just like MCR..They are what..new NEW romantic?? They don't do it for me. They had one good song and the rest of their album was ****e..

.angie. 07-14-2005 02:42 PM

oh jesus.. are you saying they sound like my chemical romance? or just.. act like them? you, sir, are dumb.

ive heard a lot of people saying this basically because of the emergence of nine black alps.

Id have to deffo got the the chiefs. Their songs are immense!

The Bravery are manufactured...not a good sign at all. They dont seem to be doing much..they had Honest mistake..and then the one on the boats which flopped..now nothing! :usehead:

Urban Hat€monger ? 07-18-2005 02:36 PM

Grunge in Manchester?

Anything but that again

Orange_Plectrum 07-19-2005 02:45 PM

I Love the kaiser cheif album although I thought bravery album I thought was a bit off.....not in a good way though...

shandapanda 07-19-2005 03:09 PM

for some reason i wanted to hate the bravery(i do that sometimes) and then i listened to a few of their songs again and i liked them again. i was so pissed!

adidasss 07-19-2005 03:34 PM

shanda shanda shanda.........panda:)....you KNOW everything i listen to has to be good....why fight it?

WeluvTwinkie 07-19-2005 06:29 PM

I haven't heard too much by The Bravery, but I saw them in concert and I wondered if he was trying to piss me off.

The synthesizers in The Kaiser Chiefs's "Everyday I Love You Less and Less" bother me.

Oh well, I prefer the Kaiser Chiefs over The Bravery. Anyday of the week.

indie vixen 07-25-2005 07:23 AM

The Bravery havn't really produced anything that has made anyone go "wow" yet, and i cant really see it happenning (sorry 2 all Bravery fans) The Kaisers are ok, theyre good to dance to on one of those random drunken nights, and everyone seems to know the words to one of their songs. Their songs are catchy and i have witnessed a few people smile when they hear them which makes them better in my books!

Pretty Like Drugs 07-26-2005 03:08 PM

I love both bands but i chose The Bravery. I've been to see them a few times *cough* 5 times *cough*and they're great live but then the kaiser chiefs are great aswell.

adidasss 07-26-2005 03:25 PM

i'm going to see the bravery too and i was a little worried they're not going to be that great live so thanks for reassuring me......

Pretty Like Drugs 07-26-2005 03:40 PM

No probs. When are you going to see them?

adidasss 07-26-2005 03:44 PM

4th of september in italy......i'm so happy i can't desribe it...but it's a bit surreal...i'll believe it when i see it...

Pretty Like Drugs 07-26-2005 03:52 PM

Cool. :) I'm going to see them on the 24th November. i can't wait!

adidasss 07-26-2005 03:58 PM

but you saw them a gazilion times, you couldn't posibly be as excited as i am...

Pretty Like Drugs 07-26-2005 04:00 PM

Haha probably not :)
I got to meet the band after one of the London gigs and they were so nice!

adidasss 07-26-2005 04:02 PM

Pretty Like Drugs 07-26-2005 05:46 PM

DidierD 07-26-2005 06:03 PM

What does that make me? Your old best friend?

And no, to the above post, Scottish and Irish people get on fairly well in general, just must have been some pissed wankers you saw at Leedsfest, there's plenty around, particularly last year when Dropkicks played because of 50 cent, GLC, the streets etc attracting an unusual crowd compared to past years.

Which island do your family own?

nutty jenny 07-27-2005 09:26 AM

Kaiser Chiefs definately get my vote, they are so amazing.
i love they're music, lyrics. they are just great!

mancmusic 08-01-2005 09:54 AM

deffinately the bravery. i don't like kaiser chiefs

Josephine 08-01-2005 10:55 AM

Kaiser Chiefs are kinda cool, not my most fav band though, but they have the basic requirement to become real ingenious someday.
Anyway, I like "Employment", my fav track's "I Predict A Riot".

MORESOAD4ME 08-03-2005 08:06 PM

i think the bravery are better but ive never rlly heard that many kaisr chief songs only like 5 or 6
