Default Laura Stevenson and the Cans

Laura Stevenson (also plays keyboards in Bomb The Music Industry!) has a solo project, and this is it. Her songs range from as simple as just an acoustic guitar, to using a string orchestra, but her voice is gorgeous. Take a listen and discuss.

Totally deserves a bump. This girl is incredible. Got hold of Sit Resit recently and to be honest it had me at track one. Will go on to be a highlight of 2011, I'm sure of that.

Listen to this and have your socks blown off, people.

Yeah, I'm listening to the album at the moment, and her voice is beautiful.

I tend to look past female fronted indie bands as the majority are whiny and annoying, however this is just good, easy-listening music, plain and simple.

Completely worthy of my bump.

I got some release of hers called Holy Ghost by complete accident when I was trying to find an album by the band of the same name. It's very good, was a pleasant surprise.
