Yeah I'll do the same, as actually, I don't think I ever listened to an album of hers. One of those names you just know but for some reason never felt the need to check out.

Ok well I had my PJ Harvey day, went through her albums from Dry to about half of Uh huh her. The first few albums seemed like standard early 90s alternative rock music, which was a bit of a surprise since I thought she was a bit more "out there". Things got a bit more interesting for me after that but I have to say that none of the songs I heard grabbed my attention. It's pleasant music but there were no memorable hooks or anything else to really draw me in. So I guess my initial instincts were right, it's just not for me.

When a song's got a "hook", that's how you know you're in for a treat.

You went from Dry to Uh Huh Her and didn't find any memorable hooks? Really?

Not really. To each their own I guess. Who knows how our brains are wired. Mine just didn't pick up anything to obsess over.

Okay, last ditch effort, here's one more sample of PJ Harvey post Uh Huh Her. If you don't like this one, then it is probably a lost cause. And I feel for the loss.

It's off Let England Shake, one of her more recent albums. Also one of her best.
