ahhh..even though you think you insulted me, i happen to think nme has a great taste in music and it fits just right with me ( they discovered the bravery, hot hot heat, bloc party, franz ferdinand, they love the arcade fire, the killers, interpol etc) and as i recall it they were the first to discover your precious joy division...that's why when they say something's great i'm gonna check it out...

Actually they were discovered by TV presenter Tony Wilson who gave them a shot on primetime TV and then later signed the band. The band said themselves at the time nobody in London gave a **** about them.

well i downloaded love is a unfamiliar name and it's a good song, i'm going to download some more, but i wish there was a website out there where you could just listen through entire albums ( sometimes nme.com alows you to do that ), so i don't have to bother downloading...that would be fantastic, and i could choose from much more bands, because i don't really feel like downloading everything , it's quite a slow process...one day maybe...

Nonsense, I discovered Franz Ferdinand long before NME ever did; and I knew you liked NME, you've told us you like their website before, hence why I said it.

Anyway I digress. I tried to check out some Duke Spirit but there was none to be found on the web. Saw the album in the music shop today, is it really worth buying?

oh yes. the whole album is good. relentless guitar and a general energy throughout the whole thing. every song is a killer. stand outs- cuts across the land, love is an unfamiliar name, bottom of the sea, fades the sun, theres so many. well worth a tenner.
