Is it true that Dave played all the instruments on their first album?

I heard he recorded the whole thing alone. Which stands to reason, actually: the musicianship was shocking.

i saw them at v2001 festival and almost got turned into puree, i wouldn't go through that to see them now. 'there is nothing left to lose'. mmm
